Freelance Sales Representative

Job Title: Freelance 1099 Sales Representative/Closer & Event Marketing Coordinator (Portfolio Growth Opportunity)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated, competitive student to join our corporate enterprise as a Freelance B2B Sales Closer and Event Marketing Coordinator. This role launches directly within our publishing division, focusing initially on an upcoming Christian Children’s Book series and author training events. If you are results-oriented, love pitching, handling objections, and driving direct revenue, this position is built for you.

Your Core Focus: Active Sales & Revenue Generation
This is a low-base, high-upside sales position. You are the "closer." While you will have part-time administrative support to provide foundational event leads, you will not be paid to sit back and do data entry. Your time will be spent on active outbound outreach, pipeline hunting, and closing deals. If you do not actively hunt and produce leads, you will not succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conference Ticket Sales & Client Acquisition: Actively pitch and sell seats to our professional book conferences, where the company teaches aspiring authors how to write a book and secure clients for our publishing division.
  • B2B Remote Sales & Wholesale Closing: Execute outbound phone calls and send professional pitch emails to schools, churches, and retail stores to land high-volume wholesale book orders.
  • Social Media Outreach: Actively leverage social platforms (DMs, corporate outreach, networking) to pitch potential retail partners, boutiques, and faith-based organizations to drive bulk orders.
  • Pipeline Hunting & Closing: Expand on foundational lists to locate exact decision-maker contact details, track event submission deadlines, handle aggressive follow-ups, and officially secure bookings.
  • Weekly Sales Sync: Briefly coordinate with the executive team (1 hour/week) to review your pipeline, pending deals, and finalized revenue targets.

Job Type, Hours & Location:

  • Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor / Freelance
  • Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week (Completely flexible; as an independent contractor, you manage your own schedule entirely around your classes and exams).
  • Location: Remote (Open nationwide; however, candidates living in or around Houston, TX are preferred for local market execution).

Corporate Portfolio Growth Potential:

Our parent organization manages a diverse portfolio of 6 corporate divisions. While you will launch your project work within our publishing division, high-performing students who prove their closing ability will have the direct opportunity to take on sales assignments across our other corporate divisions, offering a unique opportunity to build a massive professional resume.

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (must be entirely confident speaking on the phone and pitching strangers).
  • Strong familiarity with business outreach via social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok).
  • Results-driven, competitive "closer" mentality—you view "no" as a challenge, love locking in deals, and enjoy the hunt for new leads.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage a sales pipeline independently.
  • Comfort and alignment with faith-based/Christian children's content.

Salary & High-Upside Commission Structure:

  • Base Pay: $500.00 per month flat rate (provides a stable base safety net for your outreach hours).
  • Conference Ticket Commissions: 10% commission ($10.00 per seat) on conference tickets sold directly through your personal outreach using unique tracking promo codes. (Standard organic online registrations without your code are completely exempt from commission).
  • New Client Acquisition Bounties: A $50.00 to $100.00 flat-fee bonus paid out for every new author successfully signed to our publishing division through your direct outreach.
  • Remote B2B Book Commission: 5% commission on the net wholesale revenue of any bulk book orders you personally secure remotely (e.g., selling directly to a bookstore or church gift shop).
  • Juried Booking Bounty: A flat $25.00 bonus for every competitive, juried festival, school, or church event you successfully pitch, secure, and add to our master calendar.
  • Note: This role is entirely remote/digital sales. Physical event booth sales made on-site by the author and event assistants are completely exempt from commission,  unless attended in person.
