Seasonal Staff Accountant 18-20 Hours/Week

A local CPA firm serving more than 500 clients seeks two to three seasonal staff members to prepare tax returns during the January–April busy season. These positions are in-office, not remote.

These staff accountant positions are ideal for accounting and finance majors seeking hands-on experience preparing individual, trust, and business tax returns. You will gain practical knowledge of individual and business taxation, including investment income, self-employment, rentals, capital gains, deductions, and tax credits.

A commitment averaging at least 18–20 hours per week is required, with additional hours available. Five to six hours each week must be worked on Saturdays for team-building and group training. Scheduling is flexible around your classes, and preference will be given to candidates available for extended hours during spring break. Training begins in late January, and most positions end in early to mid-April.

Pay starts at $24 per hour, with higher rates available for candidates who have tax preparation experience.
