Nanny for School-Age Children

A warm Palm Beach family is looking for an energetic, playful, and highly capable nanny for their two children, ages 7
and 9. Their current nanny's last day is October 15, so they would like someone to start as soon as possible.
Schedule
• Friday 3pm through Sunday 10am
• Overnight Friday, and some Saturdays
• Monday 3pm to 9pm
• The family is flexible for the right person
Accommodations
Live-in is preferred for the weekend but not required. A private, comfortable guest house is available.
Travel
The job is based in Palm Beach. The family spends summers in the Hamptons, and a nanny who can join them is a
plus, but it is not required.
Compensation
$35 to $50 per hour, depending on experience. The family will pay top of range for a standout candidate.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a warm, engaging, and capable nanny who genuinely loves working with children and takes pride
in being an integral part of a family's day-to-day life. They are looking for someone who can walk in the door each
afternoon, take ownership of the children's routine, and keep things moving without needing to be micromanaged. A
nanny who is playful and engaged with the kids while also being organized, dependable, and naturally proactive will
thrive in this role.
Responsibilities
• Provide attentive and developmentally appropriate care for the children
• Assist with after-school, evening, bedtime, and weekend morning routines
• Drive the children to activities, appointments, and extracurriculars (nanny car provided)
• Plan engaging, educational, and age-appropriate activities and outings
• Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children
• Maintain the children's bedrooms, playrooms, clothing, toys, and personal belongings
• Assist with the children's laundry, organization, packing, and unpacking
• Provide overnight care on Friday and some Saturdays, and respond to the children's needs throughout the night
• Maintain open communication with the parents regarding schedules, activities, and the children's needs
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, organized, and positive environment at all times
Requirements
• Minimum 5+ years of professional nanny experience in a private household
• Strong hands-on experience with school-age children
• Excellent longevity and references from current and previous employers
• Warm, nurturing, energetic, and confident childcare style
• Flexible, dependable, and able to adapt to the needs of a busy family
• Excellent communication skills and sound judgment
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain
• Valid U.S. work authorization
