Spring Public Relations & Marketing Intern

Spring Public Relations & Marketing Intern (Remote/Hybrid)

 ***This internship is designed for students who want internship credit(s) towards their degree! Interns MUST be trying to enroll in and be eligible for internship credit through the SUNY Oswego Office of Experiential Learning.***

 

Location: Remote or Hybrid (based in Oswego County, NY)
Hours: 8 hours/week, 120 hours/semester
Compensation: $16.00 per hour

About Us:
The Oswego Bookmobile is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting literacy and access to books for children in Oswego County, NY. We’re seeking a motivated and creative intern to help amplify our message and reach.

Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging content for our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram).
  • Assist with marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with donor and partner communications.
  • Assist with media outreach (crafting press releases, pitches)
  • Research and suggest strategies to increase community engagement.
  • Support event promotion and volunteer coordination.
  • Organize and update Google Drive.


Skills Needed:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and basic design tools (e.g., Canva).
  • Knowledge of public relations and marketing principles.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Reliable internet access for remote tasks.
     

Preferred Skills (not required):

  • Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
