Condire Investors is seeking an undergraduate student for a spring data analytics paid internship at our office in Dallas, Texas. The professional will work directly with our small team of investment and operations professionals to maintain, improve and broaden our approach to data science. We are looking for a bright, passionate problem-solver and well-rounded individual to work with a wide range of data sets to extract knowledge and actionable information for our team. Candidates should be strong self-starters who can also work well in a team-based environment. Condire offers a great opportunity for an undergraduate student to train and gain experience at a globally focused investment firm.

Condire is a rapidly growing, globally focused investment manager with deep expertise in the natural resource sectors. Our office is located across from the Perot Museum in the Downtown area of Dallas, and provides many perks including catered meals, in-building gym, and paid parking. Compensation is competitive.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a wide range of data sets including geospatial, imagery, GIS, geophysical, production/volumetric, financial and economic data to extract knowledge and actionable information
• Gather raw data from numerous data sources and aggregate it into cohesive data sets via ETL (extracting, transforming and loading) to ensure data is accurate and stable
• Analyze and interpret data to monitor operational performance and business metrics
• Develop and maintain automated dashboards, metric reports and data visualizations to present data and findings into understandable content
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues with thorough attention to detail
• Liaise with current data providers and evaluate new data sets and sources for use in the investment process
• Assist research team to identify unique data points to support investment research across various projects in mining, energy and other natural resource based sectors

Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate:

• Candidates must be available to work in Dallas, Texas office starting in Spring 2027
• Permanent U.S. Work Authorization
• B.S. in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or Business with an emphasis in Data Analytics highly preferred
• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
• Interest in data analysis validated through scholarly activities or previous employment / internship experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Passionate problem-solver and team player with positive attitude and proactive approach to work
• Polished individual with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Very bright and a quick learner – able to work independently as well as on a team
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to work in small, dynamic and growing firm
