BouMatic has a great opportunity for a Supply Chain / Operations Management student to gain valuable experience.

Supply Chain Operations, Intern

Job Statement:

This is a hands-on internship.  Intern will learn process to coordinate cross company inventory with the objective of balancing multiple supply chains.  This role is in Madison WI, but will support order fulfillment in multiple company locations including the U.S. and Europe.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability:

• Analyze expedite lists and maintain dating integrity.
  • Expedite purchase orders where necessary by working directly with suppliers
  • Expedite intercompany orders with the supply chain personnel in our European branch.
• Maintain zero past due purchase order dates.
  • Work with suppliers on past due purchase order lists
  • Help BouMatic receiving personnel when they encounter issues with receiving in PO’s.
• Other duties may include:
  • Purchasing certain item groups of materials
    • Creating purchase orders, maintaining dates, solving issues
  • Maintaining metrics used in Supply Chain

Relationships:

Position will report to the Purchasing Manager and work closely with various departments including purchasing, shipping, logistics, and customer service.

Requirements:

Candidate should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in operations/Supply Chain or similar field.

Have strong academic performance.

Interest in Supply Chain (Customer Service, Logistics, Purchasing, Master Production Scheduler, or Supply Chain Management).

Self-starter, with an entrepreneurial attitude.

Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.

Creative, disciplined and energetic.

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Knowledge of ERP systems a plus (Microsoft D365, JD Edwards, SAP, etc.)
