Community Engagement Manager & Lead Instructor

Your Mission: 

As the Community Engagement Manager & Lead Instructor, you'll wear two equally important hats. First, you'll serve as the public face of Jungle Driving School, building relationships throughout the community, representing our brand at events, and creating excitement around our mission of saving lives through driver education. Second, you'll serve as the lead instructor, ensuring you and our other instructors deliver exceptional behind-the-wheel training.  

This role is perfect for someone who loves to lead, enjoys being in front of people, thrives on building relationships, and wants to help grow a business while making a meaningful impact on teen safety. 

You won't just teach students how to drive. You'll help establish Jungle Driving School as a trusted and recognizable name throughout Lake Country and Waukesha County. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Community Engagement Responsibilities:  

Represent Jungle Driving School at community events, school functions, sports tournaments, fairs, festivals, expos, safety programs, and other local gatherings. 

Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing and community engagement events that increase brand awareness and student enrollment. 

Organize and oversee event logistics, including booth setup, promotional materials, giveaways, volunteer coordination, and event follow-up. 

Assist with social media content creation by capturing photos, videos, and stories from events and student successes. 

Generate leads and cultivate relationships with prospective students and parents through community outreach efforts. 

Actively seek opportunities to increase Jungle Driving School's visibility and reputation in the communities we serve. 

Instructional Duties: 

Teach behind-the-wheel sessions using the Jungle training method and Jungle Readiness Compass 

Foster a fun, encouraging, and safe learning environment that builds confidence and responsibility. 

Evaluate student performance and provide constructive, confidence-building feedback. 

Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and state-mandated documentation. 

Stay up-to-date with motor vehicle laws, safety practices, and instructional techniques. 

Teach hands-on student workshops and adult classes periodically 

Leadership:  

Lead our team of Jungle instructors ensuring daily behind-the-wheel drives are organized and operating efficiently.   

Oversee scheduling, student enrollment, and customer satisfaction. 

Recruit, train, and supervise driving instructors. 

Ensure full compliance with state & local licensing requirements.

Adaptable & Flexible: You’re ready to accept change with unforeseen circumstances and adapt to the needs of the students. One day you’re driving and instructing, the next you may be representing Jungle Driving School at a community festival or a parent information night. 

Passion for Teaching: You’re passionate about helping young people gain independence, confidence, and lifelong safe-driving skills. 

Engaging Personality: You skillfully incorporate humor and humility to enhance the Jungle Driving experience, creating a fun and memorable environment for our students. At the same time, you maintain the highest standards of instruction, ensuring both engagement and excellence. 

 

Pay / Hours 

• $45-$55K per year plus medical benefits, salaried 

• Mon-Wed 10am-7pm 

• Thurs-Friday Off 

• Saturday 8am-5pm 

• Sunday 10am-7pm

Qualifications: 

• Ability to pass all required tests for driving instructor certification in state of WI (we will train) 

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record 

• Clean criminal record 

• Must be 19 years of age or older 

Physical Requirements: 

• Comfortable spending extended periods in a vehicle 

• Physical ability to operate an automobile 

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally 

• Ability to stand for a prolonged amount of time while facilitating classroom instruction 

 

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which includes criminal history, motor vehicle records, and sex offender registry reviews, as well as a drug screening.
