CNC Machinist Intern

MRS Machining is seeking a CNC Machinist Intern interested in gaining hands-on experience in precision manufacturing. This paid opportunity is designed for students who want to develop practical machining skills while working alongside experienced professionals in a production environment.

MRS Machining is a women-owned precision CNC machine shop located in Augusta, Wisconsin. Since 1986, we have provided high-quality machining services to customers across a variety of industries.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with CNC machining and production activities under the guidance of experienced team members
  • Learn how to set up, operate, and monitor CNC equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and inspection requirements
  • Use measuring equipment to help verify part dimensions and quality
  • Support deburring, inspection, material handling, and other production needs
  • Follow established safety, quality, and shop procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ask questions, accept feedback, and actively participate in training
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a machining, machine tool, manufacturing, engineering technology, or related program
  • Interest in CNC machining and precision manufacturing
  • Willingness to learn in a hands-on production environment
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous machining experience is helpful but not required
Internship Details
  • Paid internship with compensation based on experience and qualifications
  • On-site position in Augusta, Wisconsin
