At Healthcare Management Partners, LLC (HMP), we assist clients who are experiencing current or anticipated financial challenges by helping them navigate their way to positive outcomes. We are currently seeking a critical-thinking, self-motivated individual to join our team as an Intern. 

This role is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who has a strong desire to work in a fast-paced, team-centric environment for a rapidly growing company.

This role is designed to be a Summer Internship at our offices in Nashville, Tennessee. There will be opportunities to work remotely several days per week during the internship. However, interns are responsible for providing their own accommodations and transport in the Nashville area. If the opportunity arises, an intern may be offered the chance to begin work part-time on a hybrid or remote basis prior to the Summer of 2027.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of client personnel
  • Solid project management and organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and deal with changing priorities and deliverables
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Intern for HMP Senior Solutions, the individual will work closely with the Accounting team to close the books for various healthcare entities, primarily senior care facilities. The intern will learn to create journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, analyze the departmental P&L, and perform various ad hoc reporting for the Corporate Controller and CFO. The intern will also assist in integrating newly acquired entities into the close process, including GL crosswalks, AP integration and payroll conversions and will be exposed to the full accounting cycle for healthcare entities.
