Marketing Communications and Media Intern

We are seeking a Marketing Communications & Media Intern to support a range of strategic communications, media, and brand-building projects across our professional networks. This internship will provide hands-on experience in consultancy reporting, partnership campaigns, media outreach, and digital content creation. Interns will work on high-impact projects designed to strengthen brand visibility and audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Assist in drafting and developing the annual reports for multiple professional networks.

•

Consolidate research, data, and insights from various sources into clear and engaging consultancy-style reports.

•

Support the planning and implementation of partnership campaigns targeting journalists, conference organisers, executive search firms, and media influencers.

•

Help create communications materials and outreach content for strategic partnerships and brand collaborations.

•

Contribute to “The C-Suite Insider” media brand initiative by assisting in the creation of social media assets, podcasts, video content, and digital campaigns.

•

Assist in developing content strategies to attract and engage new members across Winmark networks.

•

Support social media planning, content scheduling, and audience engagement activities.

•

Conduct research into media trends, audience engagement strategies, and competitor activity.

•

Collaborate with internal teams on creative ideas, campaign development, and communications planning.

2. Partnerships Implementation - Building and implementing A partnership campaign to journalists, conference organisers, executive search and media influences, for each of the networks.

3. The C-Suite Insider - Media brand building. Creating a series of social media assets, such as podcasts and YouTube videos, that attract new members to Winmark

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Digital Marketing, or a related field.

This internship is unpaid and requires an API program fee starting at $8,399. The fee covers the broader international program, including pre-departure services, housing, local logistics, on-site support, team-building activities, and post-program career support—including career coaching and access to the API Career Hub. Program fees vary by destination, duration, and included services.

On-site Supervision and Support
Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance.

Academic Credit
Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.
