Millwork Co-op

BUILDER WANTED. Stanton Millworks Co-op

Not just a Co-op. A Builder.

You’re building experience. You’re building skills. You’re building the foundation for what comes next. And you’re ready to do more than observe. You want to contribute, ask questions, solve problems, and learn how projects move from concept to completion.

At Stanton Millworks, we're looking for motivated Co-op Students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the millwork industry. You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers, Estimators, and production team members while learning the full lifecycle of custom millwork projects. This is an opportunity to gain exposure to project management, estimating, purchasing, field verification, and production operations while contributing to real work that impacts active projects.

A Legacy of Building Careers

Stanton Millworks is a premier cabinetmaking and architectural woodworking shop in the tri-state area, with more than 80 years of growth built on repeat and referral business. We believe exceptional craftsmanship comes from working with people who share our values and passion for quality. We recognize that our employees are more than professionals; they’re individuals with families, hobbies, and full lives beyond work. That’s why we emphasize balance, supporting both professional growth and personal fulfillment. Our culture is rooted in celebrating accomplishments together, fostering collaboration, and making a lasting impact on our clients and community. Full-time positions at Stanton Millworks include generous paid time off, competitive salaries, and a supportive environment where your voice is valued and your contributions matter.

What You'll Build

  • Support project management activities from planning through completion.
  • Assist with material takeoffs, purchasing, vendor coordination, and project documentation.
  • Gain exposure to estimating, submittals, field verification, and cost development.
  • Learn the full custom millwork process, from design review and procurement through manufacturing and installation.
  • Spend time in production learning key operations, including CNC, assembly, finishing, packaging, and shipping.
  • Work alongside experienced professionals across project management, estimating, purchasing, and production teams.

What You Bring

  • Current enrollment in a college or university co-op program.
  • A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and collaborative spirit.
  • Relevant coursework or interest in construction, engineering, business, safety, or related areas.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage your time, ask questions, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

The Bottom Line

This is an opportunity to do more than add a co-op to your résumé. You'll gain firsthand experience across multiple areas of the millwork industry, contribute to active projects, and learn from experienced professionals who are invested in your growth. You'll leave with a stronger understanding of how custom millwork projects move from estimating and purchasing through production and final installation.

We're not looking for someone to simply watch from the sidelines. We're looking for someone who shows up ready to learn, contribute, ask questions, and build the foundation for a successful career. If you're ready to start building what comes next, let's build it together.
