Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The AIAS Sketch & Supply Store Attendant manages the day-to-day operation of the AIAS Sketch & Supply Store located in the basement of the Loranger Architecture Building.
- This position is intended for a non- architecture student and is scheduled during architecture studio hours.
- The Attendant assists students with purchasing supplies, maintains the store and supply closet, documents sales, and helps manage inventory.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Reliable and able to work independently.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software.
- Ability to accurately document sales and inventory.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (if any):
- Open and operate the Sketch & Supply Store during scheduled hours.
- Retrieve and organize materials for sale and display supplies in the hallway.
- Assist students with purchases and maintain accurate sales records for cash and card transactions.
- Maintain and update the AIAS inventory spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel.
- Monitor inventory and communicate restocking needs to the AIAS Treasurer and Materials Store Chair.
- Maintain secure access to the supply closet; students may not enter the closet unattended.
- Return displayed materials to the supply closet and secure the store at the end of each shift.
- Coordinate sales and inventory documentation with the AIAS Treasurer.
Preferred Qualifications (if any):
- Previous experience with retail, inventory management, cash handling, or administrative work.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to communicate professionally with students, faculty, and staff.
Anticipated Work Schedule:
- MWF 2-6p
