About the Role
University Pain Centers, an affiliate of Rush University Medical Center (Chicago) is looking for a motivated and dependable student or recent graduate interested in gaining hands-on clinical experience.
This position is a great fit for motivated college juniors, seniors, or recent graduates who are interested in healthcare and want to learn more about working in a clinical setting. A minimum one-year commitment is required.
Schedule
- Full Time or Part-time (two 8-hour shifts or three Morning Shifts 7:30am - 12noon or 11:30a-4p). 1 year commitment required.
Work Location
- 2450 Wolf road, Westchester, IL
Salary
- $17-$18/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily patient flow
- Clean and prepare exam rooms
- Room patient and perform patient intake: vitals, history, allergies, medications, and reason for visit
- Accurately enter data into the EMR
- Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam areas and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations
Requirements
- Experience: 0-1 years in a clinical or ambulatory care setting
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, dependable, and willing to take initiative
- Punctuality & Reliability: Punctuality and reliability are essential, as this role directly supports patient flow and the clinical team
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
- Teamwork: Comfortable working closely with physicians, staff, and patients
