Locations: Atlanta(1)
Work Model: Full-time, station-based and on-site. Local hires remain at their assigned station; inter-city rotation is not required for local station employees. Rotational candidates may support multiple stations based on business needs.
Base Salary: Start 50k – 70k based on experience.
Benefits: Standard company benefits package, subject to company policy.
Annual Bonus: Eligible employees may be considered for an annual performance-based bonus under the applicable company bonus plan. Eligibility, amount, and payment are not guaranteed.
Work Authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States with driver license.
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Station Supervisor to manage daily air-freight and station operations, from cargo receiving and warehouse processing through same-day delivery to designated airlines or airport cargo facilities. Lead small team of 3-5 individuals to achieve the on-time receiving, sorting, delivery goal at the airport area. The role coordinates freight, drivers, warehouse personnel, systems, schedules, and customer communication in a time-sensitive operating environment.
Bilingual speakers preferred (Spanish, Chinese). Company provides the lodgment for out state applicants once they meet the requirements.
The successful candidate should be organized, dependable, comfortable using operational systems, and able to keep physical cargo movement and system records aligned. Direct air-cargo experience is preferred but not required; candidates with strong logistics or administrative operations experience and the ability to learn quickly may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Receive incoming cargo and verify shipment information against manifests, shipping documents, labels, and system records.
Scan incoming and outgoing freight; maintain accurate check-in, check-out, routing, and shipment-status records in the company system.
Sort freight by destination, airline, route, departure schedule, service priority, and operational requirements.
Print and apply shipping, routing, identification, and other required labels; stage cargo accurately for outbound movement.
Coordinate same-day delivery of outbound cargo to designated airlines or airport cargo facilities and monitor airline acceptance and cut-off times.
Assign and coordinate drivers based on shipment volume, destination, urgency, vehicle availability, and airport delivery requirements.
Monitor driver status and shipment progress throughout the day; adjust routes or priorities when delays, urgent freight, or exceptions arise.
Coordinate warehouse personnel and daily station workload; maintain an organized, safe, and accountable warehouse and staging environment.
Investigate and resolve or escalate missing, delayed, damaged, mislabeled, rejected, or incorrectly routed freight.
Communicate regularly with Great Way headquarters regarding station capacity, shipment status, staffing, delays, exceptions, and unresolved items.
Respond professionally to customer inquiries and coordinate among customers, drivers, warehouse staff, airlines, cargo facilities, and internal teams.
Follow assigned operational issues through closure and protect confidential customer, shipment, employee, and company information.
Required Qualifications
On-site attendance must have.
Strong sense of responsibility on duty.
Ability to priority the daily job to meet the deadline.
Physically can handle the warehouse work with 30lb+. Flexible to occasional weekend and night shift.
Previous experience in logistics, transportation, freight, shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, dispatch, driver coordination, administrative operations, office operations, customer service, or a related field is preferred at least 1 year.
Candidates college education, an associate-level background, or higher education are welcome.
Logistics or administrative experience is especially desirable. Direct air-freight or airport-cargo experience is a plus but not required.
Comfort using computers, email, spreadsheets, barcode scanners, and operational systems; ability to learn TMS, WMS, ERP, dispatch, or shipment-tracking tools quickly.
Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, scheduling, problem-solving, and follow-through.
Ability to coordinate multiple shipments, drivers, warehouse tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
Ability to work on-site at the assigned station and maintain reliable attendance. Local station employees are not required to rotate between cities.
Candidates hired into rotational positions must be willing to travel or rotate among Great Way station locations according to business needs.
Technology & AI Readiness
Candidates should be comfortable learning and using shipment-tracking, warehouse, transportation, scanning, scheduling, spreadsheet, and communication systems. Familiarity with approved AI productivity tools is a plus. Any AI-assisted work must be independently reviewed for accuracy and confidentiality before use.
