Love being outdoors? Want hands-on experience in ecological restoration and conservation?
Westervelt Ecological Services (WES) is looking for Four (4) Summer Land Management Interns to join our team in Auburn, Alabama. This internship provides real-world experience working on conservation and mitigation sites that protect wetlands, streams, and wildlife habitats. This is a typically a 40 hour a week internship.
What You'll Do
- Monitor vegetation, streams, and wildlife habitat
- Assist with invasive species management and prescribed burns
- Use GPS and GIS technology for mapping and data collection
- Collect and analyze field data
- Support restoration and land management projects
- Work alongside experienced environmental professionals
What We're Looking For
- Current undergraduate or Masters student pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Wildlife Biology, Forestry, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Completed sophomore year or higher
- Strong interest in conservation and outdoor fieldwork
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license
- Willing and able to do some overnight travel

Compensation
- $20/hour for undergraduate students
- $22/hour for graduate students
Plus a housing stipend if not currently living in the Auburn area.
