North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to join our team in Cornelius, NC.

Located beside Lake Norman, our hospital is about a 20-minute drive from uptown Charlotte and within easy reach of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Carolina coast.

We’re looking for a friendly, positive, and dependable team member who enjoys helping people and providing excellent customer service. As a PCC, you’ll be one of the first points of contact for our clients and their pets, helping create a welcoming and organized experience from check-in through check-out.

Veterinary experience is a plus, but we’re also interested in candidates with strong customer service, communication, and administrative experience who are excited to learn.

What you’ll do

  • Welcome clients and patients and provide friendly, professional customer service
  • Check clients and patients in and out of the hospital
  • Schedule appointments and assist clients with questions about services
  • Answer and manage a multi-line phone system
  • Communicate with clients by phone, email, and text
  • Process payments and maintain accurate client and patient information
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and other administrative tasks
  • Monitor the client waiting area and help maintain a clean, welcoming environment
  • Communicate client needs and concerns to the appropriate team members
  • Escalate more complex questions or concerns to senior staff when needed
  • Help maintain an organized workflow and positive client experience
  • Remain calm, professional, and compassionate in stressful situations
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to support excellent patient and client care

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a busy veterinary hospital environment
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new software
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and coworkers
  • Dependable team player who enjoys working collaboratively
  • Previous veterinary or animal hospital experience is a plus
  • Previous customer service, receptionist, administrative, or healthcare experience is welcome
  • Evening and weekend availability is required
