Promotions and Fan Experience Internship

Join the St. Cloud Rox Baseball Club for a summer internship to gain vast behind-the-scenes experience in the sports industry. The Rox are an industry leader in fan support, winning, community engagement, staff development, along with consistently creating a ballpark environment that is incredibly entertaining and fun for fans and staff. The Rox have a proven track record of providing interns with hands-on experience and knowledge that will be useful in competing for jobs in the sports industry. Many former Rox interns have obtained a full-time job with sports organizations after their internship. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, a strong communicator with the ability to work in a team environment, has an eagerness to learn, and possesses the flexibility to adapt to what each day brings with a positive attitude. The Rox will work with you to fulfill requirements for college credit if necessary.

This position starts in May and lasts through mid-August.

Reports to: Vice President 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the planning and execution of all pre-game, in-game, and post-game on-field promotions and activities.
• Coordinate the game-day script to ensure promotions, announcements, and activities are executed smoothly and on schedule.
• Assist in developing creative, entertaining, and engaging on-field promotions that enhance the fan experience.
• Organize, prepare, and maintain all promotional equipment and materials prior to each game.
• Help develop and implement props and promotional elements for themed game nights and special events.
• Work closely with Rox front office staff to welcome, assist, and provide a positive experience for game-day sponsors.
• Coordinate with game-day sponsors to recruit participants for on-field activities and clearly communicate promotion rules, procedures, and expectations.
• Help create a fun, interactive, and memorable game-day experience for fans of all ages.
• Represent the Rox brand professionally at games, community events, and other team-related activities.
• Assist with the distribution of marketing materials throughout Central Minnesota.
• Assist with ballpark setup and cleanup before and after games, ensuring the facility and promotional areas are prepared and organized.
• Select, organize, and coordinate promotional contestants and participants during games.
• Maintain and organize promotional registration materials, sign-up sheets, and liability waiver forms.
• Assist with community outreach events, including parades, player appearances, mascot appearances, and other promotional activities.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Availability to work Rox home games, which includes some nights and weekends
