Camera Director Internship

The Rox will work with you to fulfill requirements for college credit if necessary.
This position starts in May and lasts through mid-August.
Reports to: Creative Media Director
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and produce the four-camera, live HD webcast of Rox home baseball games, including pre-game and post-game coverage, prerecorded interviews, and other creative content.
- Direct the four-camera broadcast during all games by selecting camera shots and communicating effectively with three camera operators throughout each broadcast.
- Provide clear direction to camera operators regarding shot selection, framing, composition, and subjects.
- Manage and coordinate with three camera operators during each game to ensure a professional and seamless broadcast.
- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and teardown of video and broadcast production equipment, including four HD cameras, camera stands, video equipment, computers, and monitors.
- Assist in creating commercials, graphics, slides, and other creative content to be incorporated into the HD video broadcast.
- Work directly with the online streaming platform and the Northwoods League to help ensure a smooth and reliable broadcast experience.
- Assist in producing player feature stories and other content for social media and the team website throughout the season.
- Help produce promotional video content designed to increase ticket sales and fan engagement.
- Archive and organize video content throughout the season.
- Assist with game-day operations, including setup and cleanup.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong understanding of AV equipment - most specifically, a camera switcher, broadcast cameras and intercom systems
- Have a positive attitude and provide a strong effort to succeed
- Availability to work Rox home games, which includes some nights and weekends
- Multi-task and effectively problem solve
- Energetic “can-do” attitude
- Understanding of how a baseball broadcast operates
- Work well in a fast-paced environment with strong communication skills
