Youth Program Engagement Specialist

YOUTH PROGRAM ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST 

$23/hour Part-time (20 hours/week) --> Includes flexible evening and weekend hours

Do you love working with kids and teens, dreaming up fun programs, and bringing a little creativity to everything you do? We’re looking for a Youth Program Engagement Specialist to help make the library a welcoming, exciting place for young people (ages 0 -18).

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Youth Programs 

• Plan and lead at least 2 weekly story times for patrons ages 0-6; 

• Plan and lead at least 3 monthly youth (ages 8- 18) library programs; 

• Develop at least 2 self-guided STEAM activities; 

• Assist Program Manager in planning and leading Summer Reading Club programs.

Social Media 

• Create and schedule daily content for social media platforms covering all library services; 

• Create live or timely content covering library programs and events.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

• Preferred credits in Education or a related field and/or some experience specializing in planning and facilitating youth programs or events;

• Experience in using various social media platforms; 

• Experience in creating and editing programs and software such as Canva, CapCut, etc.
