Adjunct Instructor, Political Science or Law, Public Policy, and Society (TEMPORARY)
Posting Number: F01359
Location: Los Medanos College
Salary:
Description of Position:
We are looking to hire an adjunct instructor with academic and/or professional experience in law. We have one political science course (Intro. to Law, Public Policy, and Society - LPPS) that will serve as a general introduction to the law as a field of study for our students who are interested in pursuing a law degree/career. We will also have the option of reactivating a Constitutional Law class that focusses on civil liberties and civil rights. Although we have instructors who are qualified to teach these courses, none of them have the firsthand knowledge that we are hoping will be shared with our students. Studying and preparing to work in law is a serious undertaking and we are looking for an instructor who can inspire in our students a real sense of what that work will mean and how they can best prepare for their difficult path ahead.
