Technology Transfer Agreements Specialist

NIST is seeking a Technology Transfer Agreements Specialist to negotiate technology transfer agreements, including Cooperative Research and Development Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements, and to provide tech transfer training and advice to NIST staff.

This notice is issued under direct-hire authority to recruit new talent to occupations for which NIST has a severe shortage of candidates.

The major duties of the Technology Transfer Agreements Specialist include:

• Applying biological sciences expertise to support all aspects of NIST technology transfer agreement development.
• Providing technology transfer services, including drafting and negotiation of Cooperative Research and Development Agreements, consortia agreements, material transfer agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and research collaboration agreements.
• Working with external organizations, NIST researchers, and NIST attorneys to develop and execute agreements.
• Coordinating with assigned NIST laboratories to provide technology transfer advice and training and identify collaboration points during the research process.
