About This Role

Think Academy US is looking for an ELA Teacher Recruitment & Training Specialist to build the teaching team for our US Online English Language Arts program. Based in our downtown Toronto office, you will own the process from finding and assessing teacher candidates through training and readiness for their first class.

You will work closely with the ELA teaching team to understand hiring needs, maintain a strong candidate pipeline, and help new teachers meet our instructional standards. Your success will be measured by both the number of teachers ready to teach and the quality of their teaching when they begin.

What You'll DoTeaching — Approximately 10–15 hours/weekTeach live online ELA small-group classes focused on Reading, Speaking, and Writing for elementary students.Recruit ELA Teachers — Approximately 15–20 hours/weekSource candidates through job boards, universities, referrals, and educator networks.Manage postings, screening, interviews, and teaching demos.Maintain candidate communication and accurate pipeline records.Teacher Training & Teaching Quality 5-7 hours/weekSupport onboarding and training for new ELA teachers.Observe classes and provide practical feedback to help teachers improve.Share best practices and support consistent teaching quality across the team.What We're Looking For:

Native-level English proficiency, with the ability to communicate clearly and naturally in both spoken and written English-fresh graduates are welcome to apply.Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.Prior tutoring, teaching assistant, or other student-facing teaching experience is strongly preferred.Eager to learn and grow, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Responsible and caring when working with students and families, with strong ownership of the student experience.Work ScheduleTuesday–Saturday: On-site at the downtown Toronto officeWorking hours: 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.CompensationExpected annual total compensation: CAD $80,000–$90,000, including a base salary of CAD $78,000–$80,000 and a performance-based teaching bonus of up to 10% of base salary.Benefits:Paid Vacation: 10 days earned for every 12 months worked, with vacation pay. Unused vacation balance is paid out at year-end.Health Insurance: Sun Life Class A coverage available from your first day.
