Reading Tutor
Reading Tutor - Howell NJ
Location: Monmouth County Library - Howell Township Branch, Howell, NJ
Time Commitment: 1–2 hours per week
Availability of Client: Available mostly after 3PM on weekdays, free all day Saturday and before 12PM on Sundays
Additional Details: The client's reading level is estimated to be on an upper elementary level. He does not have enough practice with reading and his mom would like him to develop this for life skills purposes. The client has a history of some behaviors but they are not an issue at this time. A staff member from his group home will be with him at all times in the library to help the tutor feel more comfortable.
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Patience, reliability, encouraging attitude, and ability to build positive rapport
- Ability to provide individualized instruction and explain concepts clearly
- Reliable transportation
