Camera Director Internship - Summer 2027
Help shape how fans experience Woodchucks baseball through live game broadcasts and video production. The Camera Director Intern will oversee and support game-day camera operations, helping capture the best angles, moments, and atmosphere from around the ballpark. This position will work closely with the production team to create an engaging live broadcast while also gaining hands-on experience in video production, editing, and content creation.
Responsibilities Include:
- Set up, test, and tear down broadcast cameras and related equipment for each home game
- Direct and coordinate camera operations during live broadcasts to capture game action, fan engagement, promotions, and other ballpark moments
- Operate broadcast cameras during live events as needed
- Monitor live camera feeds and communicate adjustments to camera operators to maintain quality and consistency throughout the broadcast
- Work closely with the PC Director, broadcaster, and production team to create a smooth and engaging visual presentation
- Collaborate with the production team to execute creative visuals storytelling throughout the season
- Maintain, organize, and properly store cameras and other production equipment
- Assist with pre- and post-game interviews, including camera, lighting, and audio setup
- Plan and execute video shoots in collaboration with the creative and production teams
- Shoot and edit video content for social media, community events, promotions, and other team initiatives
- Edit raw footage into engaging video content using Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, or other editing software
- Assist with the production of commercials and promotional content for Woodchucks partners and local businesses
- Ensure video content maintains consistent Woodchucks/Ignite branding and visual standards
- Support the Production Director in planning and executing media projects and live game-day productions
- Assist with production scheduling, equipment logistics, and production meetings
- Cross-train in the Videographer and PC Director roles to gain experience across multiple areas of live sports production

Annually drawing in more than 50,000 fans from all over the state of Wisconsin, the Woodchucks and Ignite have a reputation of being a fun, family-friendly option for family and corporate entertainment in Central Wisconsin. The Woodchucks and Ignite annually hire 25-30 interns. Former interns have gone on to work for the Minnesota Twins, Tennessee Titans, Pittsburg Pirates, and many other minor league and collegiate league teams across the nation.
