Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field)

Certification: New York State (NYS) Early Childhood Teaching Certificate

 

  • Plan lessons: Design age-appropriate, play-based daily activities that support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
  • Supervise children: Keep children safe and monitor group and individual activities indoors and outdoors.
  • Manage classroom: Maintain a clean, organized room with accessible learning materials and consistent daily routines.
  • Communicate with families: Share progress updates, address concerns, and build positive partnerships with parents.
  • Track development: Observe children and record assessments to support individual learning needs or special plans (IEPs)
