About the Role
We are looking for an analytical, detail-oriented intern to own the search performance of our website. You will make sure the people searching for thoughtful, handcrafted gifts find Soozie first, and that every page on our site is working as hard as it can.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and optimize product titles, descriptions, meta descriptions, and image alt text
- Conduct keyword research around luxury gifting, artisan goods, and Chinese craftsmanship
- Monitor rankings, indexing, and site health in Google Search Console and resolve issues
- Build quality backlinks through blogs, directories, and craft and design communities
- Work with our marketing intern to plan journal content that ranks well
- Deliver a monthly report on traffic, rankings, and recommendations
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field
- Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals (coursework, a personal site, or past experience all count)
- Comfortable with data and spreadsheets
- Strong attention to detail and clear writing
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and remotely
Nice to Have
- Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, or Semrush
