Software Developer

Position Description

Finacity Corporation is seeking a talented, entrepreneurial-minded IT professional to work on high visibility, challenging projects. Finacity’s applications are developed using Java and MySQL and run on the Windows and Linux server environments. These applications facilitate all aspects of Finacity’s middle and back office operations, and as such, have a direct impact on Finacity’s daily trade receivables securitization business. In addition this candidate will interact with senior management and Finacity team members in the Analytics, Product Management, Servicing, and Deal Structuring groups.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong core Java and object-oriented programming skills
  • Solid SQL knowledge
  • Proficiency with Git for version control
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Spring, Hibernate, TypeScript, Node.js, or Docker
  • Experience working with REST-based APIs
  • Exposure to MongoDB
  • Experience with GitHub Actions or CI/CD pipelines

Reporting Structure

  • This position reports to the Director of Software Development within the Technology group.

Compensation and Benefits

This role will have a competitive base salary and bonus structure dependent on the individual’s skills and relevant years of experience. This role will be eligible for an annual bonus that is subject to individual and company performance. At Finacity, you will be eligible for benefits including medical and dental insurance, three to five weeks of paid vacation depending on seniority, short-term disability, long-term disability, a pre-tax transit benefit, paid parental leave, life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and the option to participate in a 401(k) retirement savings plan with an employer match.
