Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated, passionate student teachers across Lower School (K–2 and 3-5), Middle School (6–8), and Upper School (9–12) grade levels. As a Student Teacher at University Academy, you will gain practical classroom instruction experience, curriculum development skills, and mentorship to help kickstart your teaching career.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with a lead cooperating teacher to adapt and deliver engaging lessons
- Manage classroom environment, foster student engagement, and support academic growth
- Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback
- Participate in school-wide professional development opportunities and school community events
Qualifications & Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Educator Preparation Program (EPP) or University Teacher Certification program.
- Must be eligible for full-time semester student teaching per your university’s program requirements.
- Eligible for student teaching placement during the upcoming semester.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for student-centered education.
- Background check clearance as required by Missouri state regulations.
