Position: Coach/Referee

Hours: 4-6 Hours/week

About Us: Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster is dedicated to promoting youth sports and fostering teamwork and fair play. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to coach and referee for our Intramural League programs.

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and reliable Coach/Referee Volunteer to help guide and officiate games for our Intramural teams. This role involves coaching players, managing games, and ensuring a positive experience for all participants.

Responsibilities:

  • Coaching: Plan and conduct practice sessions, teach fundamental skills, and foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Refereeing: Officiate games impartially, enforce rules, and manage game flow.
  • Communication: Provide feedback to players and parents, and address any issues that arise during practices or games.
  • Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, including adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Team Building: Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth among players.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in refereeing or coaching is helpful but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
  • Traits: Enthusiastic, reliable, and able to work well with both children and adults.
