THE POSITION
Manufacturing Engineer, AUMOVIO Autonomous Mobility US, LLC, New Braunfels, TX:
Diagnose process problems and implement corrective actions to improve yields, reduce costs, and meet schedules. Assume manufacturing process ownership for existing and new products. Assist in improving the capability processes to assure adherence to requirements. Assist in training and support of process technicians and production operators. Lead manufacturing continuous improvement to meet safety, quality, productivity, scrap reduction and up time. Work with equipment suppliers to support manufacturing quality and cycle time improvement goals. Support senior manufacturing engineers in developing new operation specific processes providing all necessary documentation such as FMEAs, control plans, qualification plans. Support successful launches of assigned products into manufacturing. Support senior engineers in equipment qualifications.
Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per month.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field and 2 years of related work experience in a high volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
- Problem solving and root cause corrective action experience in a manufacturing facility using tools including fishbone, 5 Whys, 8D and A3;
- Electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting with schematics; and
- CAD software.
Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:
- Cognex scanners and vision systems;
- Applying lean manufacturing principles including defining customer value, removing waste from a process flow, and continuous improvement;
- Process documentation including lessons learned and process parameters; and
- Creating standard manufacturing work instructions.
Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per month.
