Math Tutor at Franklin High School

Tutors Impacting Public Schools (TIPS) is hiring classroom tutors to improve student success, support teacher and school needs, and enrich public school classrooms for the 2026-2027 school year! More details about our work and impact can be found on our website here. 

We are looking for tutors who:

• Can be flexible and problem-solve in the dynamic school environment
• Will communicate and collaborate effectively with educators

In this position you will:  

• Support grades 9-12 through a combination of push-in classroom support and drop-in tutoring, including some after-school tutoring; emphasis on Algebra and Geometry at Franklin High School (3013 S Mt Baker Blvd, Seattle, WA, 98144).
• Assist teachers and other school staff with group instruction, classroom activities, and special projects
• Build valuable leadership, collaboration, and communication skills 
• Develop professional relationships with faculty, staff, and TIPS administration
• Receive paid training on Race & Equity in Education, Culturally Responsive Teaching, Student Engagement & Management, creating Inclusive & Welcoming School Environments, Social Emotional Learning strategies, and more!
• Get paid $25.50/hour
• Accrue paid sick leave

Schedule:

• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• End Date: June 4, 2027
• Mondays from 1:45pm to 4:40pm; Tuesdays from 12:25pm to 4:40pm; Thursdays from 12:25pm to 3:40pm
• 10 hours a week
• Schedule is fixed to meet school's needs
• Follows Seattle Public Schools schedule for breaks and holidays
