Power BI Intern
Location: Tempe, Arizona -- Onsite in office
Schedule: Flexible; 20 – 30 hours per week for 4 to 6 months
Pay: $25
Curtiss-Wright in Tempe looking for a college intern to help launch Power BI at our Tempe facility. You’ll work with employees across the business to understand what information they need, bring data into useful dashboards, and help establish a strong foundation for reporting.
What you’ll do
- Meet with teams to understand their reporting needs and identify useful measures.
- Help gather, clean, and organize data from existing sources.
- Build and improve Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Check reports for accuracy and document how data and measures are defined.
- Create simple instructions and help employees learn to use the dashboards.
- Share progress, questions, and recommendations with your supervisor and project partners.
What we’re looking for
- Current college student studying data analytics, information systems, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Power BI through coursework, projects, or previous work.
- Strong Excel skills and an interest in working with data.
- Attention to detail, curiosity, and the ability to explain findings clearly.
- Comfort asking questions and working with people in different roles.
Experience with Power Query, DAX, SQL, or manufacturing data is a plus, but we don’t expect you to know everything on day one.
