Senior Environmental Engineer (Tribal Utility Consultant)

The incumbent will be responsible for collaborating with American Indian Tribes to increase and maintain access to water, wastewater, and solid waste facilities by:

• Providing direct operation and maintenance services to the Tribes and tribal Utilities.
• Perform site visits to obtain condition of systems, location of mains, determination of local water pressures and plumbing layouts.
• Prepare and review planning proposals, feasibility studies and engineering designs developed by technical staff
• Provide training and technical assistance directly to the Tribes on procedures for sanitation facilities, operator certification and compliance with the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act.
