The specialist prepares thorough legal memoranda and reports that outline issues, apply relevant law and precedent, and support policy decisions.

#2 Agricultural Marketing Specialist (Regulatory): Enforces the Packers and Stockyards Act through investigations, direct surveillance, and oversight of competition, financial, and trade‑practice requirements across livestock, meat, and poultry industries. The role also includes industry outreach—providing presentations, guidance, and education to producers, farm groups, regulated entities, and State officials to strengthen understanding of the law and support compliance. These efforts help prevent violations, promote fair business practices, and ensure firms and individuals subject to the Act understand its jurisdiction and obligations.
