Job Description

The Software Driven Systems Engineering department advances modern systems engineering through software, digital engineering, AI-enabled methods, model-based engineering, data analytics, automation, and rapid prototyping. The department develops and applies technical capabilities that help programs design, analyze, integrate, and evolve complex systems more efficiently. It serves as a center of expertise for transforming traditional engineering workflows through modern, software-driven and digital approaches

Job Responsibilities

Support systems and mission engineering activities for complex government-sponsored systems and systems-of-systems.

Assist with analyzing, modeling, and evaluating system requirements, architectures, interfaces, and performance using modern engineering methods and tools.

Apply and develop hands-on experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering, data analytics, and software development techniques.

Develop models, metrics, and analyses that help evaluate system alternatives, performance, interoperability, resiliency, and other key attributes.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams and contribute to project deliverables, technical documentation, and presentations.

Basic Qualifications

Must be a full-time student enrolled in an accredited degree-seeking program in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and remain enrolled full-time during the semester following the internship.

Familiarity with a programming or technical computing language such as Python or MATLAB.

Familiarity with AI, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering (DE), or related systems modeling and architecture concepts.• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required U.S. government security clearance.

This position has an on-site requirement of 3 days a week minimum

Preferred Qualifications

Academic, project, or internship experience in systems engineering, analysis, modeling and simulation, software development, or a related technical area.

Coursework or project experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering, mission engineering, or systems architecture.

Experience using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools for data analysis, modeling, simulation, or automation.

Ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$46,500 - $58,000 - $69,500 Annual
