Client Success Manager
Job description
Client Success Manager — Government Accounts
Priority Groups
📍 Queens, NY (Hybrid)
🕒 Full-Time
About Us
Priority Groups is a growing organization dedicated to providing high-quality support services to individuals, families, healthcare professionals and public agencies throughout New York and New Jersey. Through our family of companies we deliver staffing, home care, supplies and professional services to City and State agencies, school districts and community organizations. We are seeking a relationship-driven, organized and dependable Client Success Manager to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building trust with clients face to face, keeping many relationships moving at once, and making sure every commitment we make is delivered.
Position Summary
The Client Success Manager will be the known, trusted face of Priority Groups inside a set of government agencies and clients. You will protect and grow the contracts we hold, keep orders and services on track from start to finish, and bring back the insight our proposals team needs to win new work. This is not a sales role and not a proposal-writing role — it is relationship management for public-sector clients. The ideal candidate is personable, follows through, writes clearly, and is comfortable working in the field across New York City.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of 12–15 agencies and clients across NYC, NYS and NJ, and know the key contacts at each one by name.
- Build relationships in person — agency meetings, vendor outreach sessions, M/WBE events and pre-bid conferences (about three field days a week).
- Keep our existing contracts in good standing so they renew rather than re-compete.
- Track client purchase orders from quote to delivery, acknowledge every order the same day, and give clients proactive delivery updates.
- Collect proof of delivery and hand completed orders to our billing lead for invoicing.
- Re-open client and agency contacts that have gone quiet, and log the outcome of each conversation.
- Follow up on translation, interpretation and staffing service requests so no client waits more than one business day for an answer.
- Review agency procurement plans each quarter and share upcoming opportunities with the proposals team.
- Write a short debrief within 24 hours of every meeting and keep Asana up to date.
- Escalate any client concern, complaint or late order to your supervisor the same day.
- File a daily end-of-day report and support other client success projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 1–4+ years in client success, account management, customer relations, government relations or business development.
- Strong communication skills — you remember names, follow through, and people call you back.
- Clear, concise writer who can summarize a meeting in a few accurate lines.
- Highly organized and able to manage many relationships and deadlines at once.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
- Comfortable travelling across the five boroughs, with occasional trips to Albany and northern New Jersey.
- Professional, reliable and customer-service-oriented.
Pay rate
- $17hr
Preferred Skills
- Experience working inside, or selling to, a New York City or New York State agency.
- Familiarity with public procurement — PASSPort, M/WBE programs, bidder lists or RFPs.
- Background in healthcare, education, staffing or facilities services.
- Experience with Asana, Slack or similar work-management tools.
Why Join Priority Groups?
- Hybrid schedule based at our Queens office, Monday–Friday.
- Supportive and collaborative team environment.
- Direct exposure to government contracting and public-sector clients.
- Opportunity for professional growth and development.
- Meaningful work that supports communities, healthcare and public services across New York and New Jersey.
