Hawaii Baptist Academy is a Christ-centered college preparatory school seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Mathematics Teacher to join our faculty. We are committed to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and developing students who positively impact their communities and the world.
Responsibilities
- Teach high school mathematics courses, including a combination of Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, and/or AP Statistics.
- Create engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Assess student learning and communicate progress with students and parents.
- Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview into teaching and student interactions.
- Participate in faculty meetings, school activities, and professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
- Demonstrated Christian faith and commitment to Christian education.
- Ability to support and uphold the school's mission and Statement of Faith.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching high school mathematics.
- Experience teaching AP-level courses.
- Master's degree in a related field.
