Engineering Intern
Position
Engineering Intern - Rose Batteries
Mission
Develop real-world engineering skills by troubleshooting failures, analyzing data, and solving hands-on electro-mechanical problems.
Translate technical findings into clear, actionable information while contributing to the engineering work where Rose needs it most.
What makes an ‘A-Player’
- Relentlessly Curious Troubleshooter - Follows the evidence, learns unfamiliar technologies, and keeps asking why until the failure makes technical sense.
- Makes the Complex Clear - Distills technical data into the evidence, conclusions, and recommendations that matter; rigorous enough for an engineer and clear enough for a customer.
Outcomes
- First 30 days - Learn Rose’s products, Return Material Authorization (RMA) process, engineering tools, and failure-analysis methods. With Engineering Manager guidance, complete at least 3 RMA investigations with documented evidence and conclusions.
- First 60 days - Independently drive assigned RMA investigations from testing through a review-ready report, clearly communicating the technical conclusion to Customer Success, Quality, and Production so they can take the appropriate next steps.
- Engineering Team Outcome - Become a trusted, flexible Engineering contributor who takes ownership of meaningful technical work and adds capacity wherever the team needs support.
- Customer Outcome - Deliver rigorous, easy-to-understand technical conclusions that give Customer Success, Quality, and Production the clarity they need to resolve issues and serve the customer confidently.
- Internship Outcome - Finish the internship having made meaningful contributions to Rose while gaining hands-on experience solving real-world engineering problems.
