Schedule: Flexible shifts during school operating hours:

Monday – Thursday: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

We are seeking an energetic Keys/Piano Instructor who positively embodies music and loves inspiring students of all ages. You will deliver dynamic 1-on-1 keyboard/piano lessons, teaching core technical skills, chord structures, gear setup, and song parts from AC/DC to Zappa.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeach private 30-minute and 45-minute piano/keyboard lessons focusing on technical skills and music fundamentals, not just songs.

Teach music theory, ear training, rhythm, and chord progressions through practical rock and modern song application.

Prepare students to perform their keys/keyboard parts in band rehearsals and live shows.

Communicate clearly and warmly with parents and students regarding progress.

Adhere to all School of Rock safety, code of conduct, and child supervision policies.

Qualifications & Requirements1–3+ years of professional experience performing and/or teaching music. (Active performing/gigging musicians or music majors are ideal candidates).

Solid knowledge of music theory, harmony, and keyboard technique.

Familiarity with digital keyboards, synthesizers, and sound patches is a plus.

Ability to work with students of varying ages (primarily ages 7 through 18 and adults).

Enthusiastic, patient, flexible, and positive demeanor with strong customer relations skills.

Must pass a standard criminal background check.
