Pipeline Engineering Intern (Part-Time January 2027 Start/Spring Semester)

Ready to see how classroom concepts are applied in the real world? As a Pipeline Engineering Intern at ENERCON, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of energy projects, gaining exposure to pipeline design, oil & gas systems, fueling infrastructure, and more. You'll build technical knowledge, develop problem-solving skills, and gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful projects that support our clients and communities.

What are skills that would be helpful to your success as an intern?

Graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET- accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors. Pursuing mechanical engineering degree or other related majors.Preferred intern is targeted to graduate between December 2027 and May 2028.Available to start as a PT Intern in January or February 2027.Intern must be local to the greater Atlanta area and able to be in office a min of 16 hours a week. Completed minimum 2+ years of courseworkBasic understanding of engineering principlesFamiliar with AutoCAD and/or Civil3DPrior intern/engineering work experience highly consideredInterest in energy and/or oil and gas pipeline system designsA solid working foundation with your major’s core concepts. Proficient in Microsoft Suite. Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams. Ability to effectively problem solve. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.Must be able to work outside.Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

Interview and Employment Requirements:

Completion of pre interview assessments. College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation. Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
