About the RoleWe're looking for a licensed Dental Hygienist to join our clinical team and deliver high-quality preventive oral care to our patients. This is a hands-on role at the center of our practice — you'll be the person patients see most, and your work directly shapes their long-term oral health outcomes.
What You'll Do- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing- Take and interpret dental X-rays (bitewing, periapical, panoramic)- Screen patients for oral cancer, gum disease, and other conditions- Document patient health histories and update records accurately- Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and overall oral hygiene habits- Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants- Collaborate with the dentist on treatment plans and patient follow-up- Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols in line with OSHA and CDC guidelines
About You- Active dental hygiene license in Hawaii (or eligibility to obtain one)- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program- Current CPR/BLS certification- Strong interpersonal skills — you're calm, patient, and genuinely enjoy working with people- Familiarity with dental practice management software is a plus- Experience with pediatric or special needs patients is a bonus, not a requirement
