Fashion/Creative Arts Instructor

Are you a creative college student or recent graduate who loves fashion, art, design or working with kids?

Future Fashion Stars is hiring Fashion & Creative Arts Instructors in the Cleveland area for the 2026–2027 school year!

This isn't your typical classroom job. You'll lead fun, hands-on fashion experiences for elementary students while building real-world experience in fashion, creativity, education, communication and leadership.

Whether you're studying fashion, art, education, design, communications, human development or simply love being creative, we'd love to hear from you.

No teaching license or fashion degree required.

What You'll Do

  • Lead engaging, hands-on fashion classes for students in grades K–5
  • Guide students through creative fashion and design projects
  • Teach concepts such as fashion illustration, mood boards, design, sewing basics, sustainability and collection development
  • Encourage students to develop and bring their own creative ideas to life
  • Create an exciting, positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Prepare materials and set up activities before class
  • Help students build confidence through creativity
  • Bring your own personality and creative ideas into classroom activities
  • Build your communication, presentation, leadership and classroom management skills

Who We're Looking For

  • We're looking for people who are:
  • Creative and enthusiastic
  • Dependable and professional
  • Comfortable working with elementary-aged children
  • Excited to lead activities and share their creativity
  • Comfortable speaking in front of a group
  • Willing to learn and take initiative
  • Basic sewing experience is a plus, but not required
  • You do not need to be a fashion major or have a teaching license.

Students and graduates from fashion, art, education, design, communications, human development and other creative or people-focused programs are encouraged to apply.

Previous experience working with children is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided.

Requirements

  • Reliable access to a personal vehicle — required
  • Ability to travel to different class locations throughout the Cleveland area
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Comfortable working with elementary-aged children
  • Comfortable leading a group and speaking in front of students
  • Creative, enthusiastic and willing to learn
  • Basic sewing knowledge is preferred, but not required

Schedule

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule.

Classes are primarily held after school on weekdays and on Saturdays.

Classes run in 5-week sessions throughout the school year, giving you the flexibility to work around your college schedule.

Location & Transportation

Classes are held at schools and community recreation centers throughout the Cleveland area.

Reliable access to a personal vehicle is required. Instructors must be comfortable traveling to different class locations.

About Future Fashion Stars

Future Fashion Stars is a growing fashion enrichment company bringing hands-on fashion education to kids across Ohio and New York.

We launched in 2023 with one summer camp at one location and have grown to 50+ locations in just three years.

Our team includes fashion professionals, fashion graduates, educators and current college students who believe kids deserve opportunities to explore creativity, fashion and self-expression.

We're growing our Cleveland team and looking for instructors who want to grow with us.
