GTM Engineer

Role Overview

You'd work across data, automation, research, and early sales. That could mean building an account-enrichment workflow, wiring together APIs, finding a useful signal in a messy dataset, or turning a founder's rough idea into a repeatable outbound experiment. You might combine MCPs, agentic automations, browser automations, and lightweight internal tools to get around the walls of the internet that usually stop a GTM team from moving quickly.

The job is close to the customer and close to the code. You could be working on LinkedIn or email automation, candidate or account enrichment, a research workflow, or a self-running GTM flywheel that finds the next good conversation without someone babysitting every step. You would talk to prospects, notice where the message is unclear, change the system, and watch what happens.

Who thrives here:

• You are comfortable moving between a spreadsheet, a script, a CRM, and a customer conversation without treating any of them as beneath you.

• You can work in Python or TypeScript and are happy using APIs, webhooks, enrichment tools, and the glue between them.

• You write clearly enough to make a cold email feel like it came from a person who did the research.

• You run small experiments, look at the result, and stop doing things that are not working even when you built them.

• You are curious about the business itself: who has the problem, why it matters now, and what would make someone pay to solve it.

• You like talking to people in person, whether that means a founder dinner, a meetup, or a slightly chaotic event in San Francisco.

• You are a people person with a technical streak, and you can make a new contact feel like a conversation rather than a sequence step.

• You are active on Twitter/X and in the wider tech scene, so you notice the new company, tool, or founder conversation before someone turns it into a market map.

Some nice-to-haves:

• Clay, Apollo, HubSpot, Salesforce, or a similar GTM stack

• Scraping, data modeling, workflow automation, or lightweight internal tools

• Experience with developer tools, AI products, or technical buyers

• Experience in go-to-market, sales, growth, business development, or a role where you had to create demand from scratch

• Something you sold, marketed, or built that people actually used

• A public point of view, whether that is writing, videos, projects, jokes, or a thoughtful presence online

• Terminally online in the useful sense: you notice new tools, new companies, and new ways people are working before they reach a slide deck

Why this role?

Early GTM teams are still writing the playbook. You get to work directly with founders and customers, see the full path from a first message to revenue, and shape the systems that a larger team will eventually inherit. You would be networking with founders building some of the most interesting companies of this generation in San Francisco and across the United States.

This is a seat for someone who wants meaningful equity, direct access to founders, and unfettered room to experiment with AI, MCPs, browser automation, and new ways of creating demand. You will have the tools, technical setup, health coverage, flexible time off, and relocation support to build seriously, plus the chance to spend time in the rooms and events where the next generation of companies is being built.
