Job Title: Embedded Software & Firmware Co-Op / Internship

Job Location: GIRD Systems, Cincinnati, OH

Job Description:

  • Write embedded software modules as part of a software defined radio project
  • Create C/C++ communication system modules in embedded Linux environment
  • Integrate embedded software modules into a hardware platform and characterize performance
  • Write VHDL modules that contribute to a military communication system
  • Summarize system performance into a report for presentation to a customer

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • GPA of 3.5 or greater
  • Must be eligible to apply for US Government Security Clearance

Relevant Skills of Interest

  • C/C++ software design
  • Knowledge of real time operating systems
  • Knowledge of programming in a Linux environment
  • VHDL design experience
