Job Overview
Lindstrom Family Law, located in Milaca, MN, is seeking a full-time Family Law Associate Attorney. You will help clients navigate sensitive domestic relations matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and asset division. You will manage cases from initial client consultation through trial.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice: Meet with clients, assess their situations, and explain legal options.
- Draft legal documents: Prepare pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and financial disclosures.
- Represent clients: Appear in court for hearings, trials, and mediations.
- Conduct research: Analyze case law, statutes, and local rules related to domestic relations.
- Manage files: Keep client records updated and track billable hours accurately.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensure: Active member in good standing with the state bar.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of family law or civil litigation experience preferred, but not required
- Communication: Strong verbal, written, and negotiation skills.
- Soft skills: High empathy, organization, and attention to detail when dealing with stressed clients.
