About the role
Small and mid-sized businesses are the number one target for cyberattacks, and most don't have anyone watching. That's our job. As a Cyber Security Intern, you'll help protect real organizations, including healthcare practices and law firms with serious compliance requirements, working on policy, risk, and security operations with our team.
What you'll actually do
- Help build and document security policies and procedures aligned with NIST, CIS, and HIPAA
- Support risk and vulnerability assessments for client environments
- Research emerging threats and recommend mitigations
- Assist with our endpoint protection, managed detection, password management, and security awareness training platforms
- Help investigate and resolve security issues alongside our engineers
- Contribute to compliance projects clients depend on to pass audits
Who we're looking for
- Genuine interest in cybersecurity, whether from classes, CTFs, home labs, or just reading about breaches
- Strong writer, since policy and documentation are a big part of real security work
- Able to explain risk to a non-technical business owner
- Pursuing or interested in CompTIA Security+ or similar (a plus, not required)
