Recruitment and Engagement Intern
Position Summary
The Recruitment and Engagement Intern supports Hope Builders’ Enrollment Team with day-to-day outreach, admissions, enrollment, and front office activities. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming and responsive experience for prospective participants as they move through the admissions and enrollment process.
This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit workforce development, outreach and recruitment, customer service, admissions, and enrollment operations while serving as an integral member of the Enrollment Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Applicant Engagement: Conduct outreach and follow-up with prospective leads and applicants. Provide information about our programs, answer general questions, encourage continued engagement, and support applicants in completing next steps in the admissions process.
- Admissions & Enrollment Support: Assist with day-to-day admissions and enrollment activities, including scheduling appointments, follow-up communications, collecting and organizing required documentation,
- Front Office & Customer Service: Help maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming front office environment. Provide coverage by welcoming visitors, answering and directing phone calls, assisting applicants, trainees, and guests with general questions, and connecting individuals with the appropriate staff member.
- Data Entry & Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely applicant records by entering and updating information, documenting outreach and applicant interactions, and supporting the organization and completeness of enrollment records.
- Team Support: Assist the Enrollment Team with additional outreach, recruitment, admissions, and administrative activities as needed to support enrollment goals and provide a positive applicant experience.

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
- Interest in nonprofit work, education, or community engagement
- Abe to complete data entry tasks with accuracy, consistency, and timely follow-through
- Reliable transportation
- Punctual
Time Commitment
- 40 hours per week
- Occasional evenings or weekends for community events
- 6-month commitment
