Civil Engineering/Surveying Internships

Construction Engineering/Surveying (Field):

  • Construction Layout 
  • Field data collection
  • Set field control
  • High-definition laser scanning
  • Physically demanding but fulfilling position to see multiple phases of construction projects from pre-construction to final conditions.
  • Utilize modern surveying equipment such as robotic total station, GNSS equipment, Automatic level, etc. 

 

Office Design/Surveying

  • Process and Analyze field data.
  • Design new pedestrian and vehicular facilities
  • Create traffic maintenance plans.
  • Develop stormwater maintenance and erosion control plans.
  • Utilized AutoCAD Civil 3D, Excel, Vehicular Tracking, Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA), etc.

 

Requirements:

  • Ability to work 5 days per week during the summer months.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to maintain required OSHA safety training. 
  • Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, along with the capability to work in a team environment.
  • Must have agility and be physically mobile to ensure safety in and around construction sites and field assignments. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and environments.
