Entry-Level Group Fitness Coach [No Experience Required]
Entry-Level Fitness Coach — No Experience Needed
Part-Time | 8–16 Hours/Week | Starting at $17.50/Hour
Are you the person who brings the energy to the room?
Do you love talking to people, encouraging them, celebrating their wins, and helping them feel more confident?
You do NOT need coaching experience or a fitness certification to apply. We can teach you fitness. We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for helping people.
If you've worked in customer service, hospitality, teaching, sports, childcare, sales—or you're simply the friend who's always encouraging everyone around you—you may be exactly who we're looking for.
Who We're Looking For
You might be a great fit if you:
- Can walk into a room and comfortably connect with people.
- Love encouraging others and celebrating their progress.
- Bring positive energy—even during an early-morning shift.
- Are dependable, coachable, and eager to learn.
- Notice when someone needs a little extra encouragement.
- Want a job where you can genuinely make someone's day better.
Never coached before? That's okay.
You don't need to know every exercise. You don't need years of gym experience. You don't need to look like a fitness model.
We'll teach you how to coach.
What we can't teach as easily is caring about people—and that's what matters most to us.
We'll Train You
Every new coach goes through our 12-week paid coach training program.
You'll shadow experienced coaches, learn our workouts and coaching system, practice working with members, and gradually build the confidence to lead sessions yourself.
You won't be expected to walk in on Day 1 knowing how to coach a class.
We'll teach you:
- How to safely coach exercises and demonstrate proper form.
- How to motivate different personalities and fitness levels.
- How to modify exercises when needed.
- How to lead an energetic 30-minute workout.
- How to create an experience that makes members excited to come back.
By the end of training, our goal is for you to feel confident leading sessions on your own.
What You'll Do
As a coach at Lakeline Fit Body Boot Camp, you'll:
- Lead fun, fast-paced 30-minute group fitness sessions.
- Learn members' names and build real relationships with them.
- Encourage people through challenging workouts.
- Celebrate everything from someone's first push-up to their 100th workout.
- Help members exercise safely and confidently.
- Bring energy, personality, and FUN to every session.
- Help keep the gym clean, organized, and welcoming.
This isn't a job where you stand in the corner counting reps.
You're creating the experience.
Bonus, but not required:
- NASM, ACE, or another fitness certification
- CPR/AED certification
- Sports, fitness, teaching, hospitality, or customer-service experience
If you don't have CPR/AED certification yet, we can help you get it.

This is a part-time position averaging approximately 8–16 hours per week.
Our coaching shifts include:

Evening: 5:00 PM–6:30 PM
You do not need to be available for every shift every day.
Early mornings aren't for everyone, so please consider your commute and availability before applying. Reliability matters to us because our members and coaching team depend on you.

Think You'd Be Great With People But Aren't Sure You're "Fitness Coach Material"?
Apply anyway.
We're much more interested in your attitude, energy, reliability, and willingness to learn than how much fitness experience you already have.
If you love helping people and want to learn how to turn that into coaching, we'd love to meet you.
