Course Curriculum Design Assistant

Position Overview

The College of Engineering is hiring undergraduate student assistants to help complete course materials for the new Transportation Infrastructure Electrification Certificate. Working under the direction of a PhD Lead Student and faculty, you will help test labs, format lecture notes, and write out step-by-step homework solutions.

This is an entry-level technical position designed to give undergraduate students hands-on experience in power electronics, Python/MATLAB scripting, and engineering education.

What You Will Do

  • Test Lab & Coding Exercises: Run existing Python or MATLAB scripts on student software to ensure code executes smoothly without errors.
  • Format & Upload Content: Help construct lecture slides, figures, and place materials into Canvas (the Learning Management System).
  • Proofread Material: Review course notes and figures for typos or missing equations.

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate student at Utah State University in good standing.
  • Basic coursework in at least one of the following: Intro Circuits, Physics, or Computer Science.
  • Basic familiarity with Python or MATLAB.
